3 Classes of Nobles
Commoners
The class structure was firmly organized. It went from the Emperor to the Nobles to the Commoners. The Emperor was the highest level of the Inca society. The Emperor was also called Sapa Inca and he was the son of the sun god. He had all authority. Nobles were a team of leaders that helped managed the massive empire. They had certain privileges; they got gifts of land, servants, and nice clothing. They also did not need to pay taxes, and the right to marry more than one woman. There was no equal ranking of the nobles because there were three main classes of nobles. There was the Capac Inca which was a noble that was a relative of the Emperor. There was also the Hahua Inca and they were nobles that had no royal blood. Last but not least, the Cuacas were nobles that lead the people. The commoners were the herders and farmers in the class structure.
